BIO of the speakers



DeeDee is a founder and designer at POPUP Studio, a small independent design studio specialising at children’s fashion and pattern design. After studying Graphic Design in Belgium for few years and inspired by her now two-year-old son, DeeDee has dedicated herself to creating her brand known for unique and bespoke items with a funky retro twist. Most of items are hand-made in-house by the designer herself in her unique style and using traditional methods of manufacturing. DeeDee is currently studying Product Design to further perfect her design skills and is working on many projects both for POPUP Studio and commissioned by others.

Kris Bernath


Kris is the owner and manager of ikri8 (i create) Art Atelier and the cofounder of Mumpreneurs ASBL. Kris has and International Business Degree and and MBA from Auburn University (USA) where she also played basketball. After graduating she worked as a Financial analyst, then became a full time Mum. After returning from Italy in 2013 (where the family was expatriated for her husband’s job and where Kris discovered drawing and art)  she decided to start her own company to combine her new passion of art and teaching, providing many different art ateliers to adults and kids. In 2014 ikri8 SARL was born.
